Collections

Learn how to create, curate, and share collections of reading lists, resources, and articles in Cognirivus.

Collections

Collections are user-curated reading lists. They allow you to group related articles, posts, and external resources under a specific topic, project, or interest area.

Creating a Collection

To create a new collection:

  1. Navigate to Collections in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create Collection (or New Collection).
  3. Provide a title, an optional description, and select the visibility:
    • Public: Visible to anyone on the network. Other users can follow your collection to receive updates in their feeds.
    • Private: Visible only to you.
  4. Optionally, add tags to categorize the collection.

Adding Items to a Collection

You can add items to your collection from almost anywhere in the application:

  • From the Feed: Click the Save or Collect icon on any post or source item card.
  • From a Post Page: Click Add to Collection in the toolbar.
  • From an External Link: You can paste any external URL directly into the collection editor.

When adding an item, you can specify its position to arrange the list in a specific reading order, and write a custom Curation Note explaining why you added it.

Following Collections

If you find a collection curated by another user that you enjoy, you can click Follow. Items added to that collection will automatically appear in your feed.

Community Collections

Communities can also host collective reading lists. A community collection allows admins (or members, depending on permissions) to submit links, building a shared library of reference material.
